Dear Friends and Promoters,
As of June 1, 2025, I will be sun-setting the name Skltnprnc and will be performing under a new DJ name: Symbiotikat (pronounced SIM-bee-ah-tih-KAT). This change comes after several considerations including difficulty with interpretation, gender incongruity, unwelcome similarities to other pop culture iconography, and a naming conflict with another music artist. Despite small efforts to unofficially rebrand as Skltnprncss (or “Skeleton Princess”), the aforementioned considerations led me in another direction. Symbiotikat better reflects my evolving aesthetic while offering clearer, stronger, and updated branding. The genre selection and quality of entertainment provided as Symbiotikat will, of course, remain as it was before.
Existing flyers and visual materials may still use the old name where necessary, but I kindly ask that all existing Facebook event descriptions and digital listings be updated to reflect the new name, with the note “formerly known as Skltnprnc” for clarity where possible. New events should only mention Symbiotikat. Thank you for your continued support and I’m excited to debut this new chapter with you.
